===== Program Description ========================================
Poker Challenge 1.4 for Windows. This addictive new card/puzzle
game from award winning designer John Cutter, combines the
excitement of high stakes Poker with the strategy of Tetris,
Shanghai and Yahtzee. GameNet's 1996 "Puzzle Game of the Year!"
Shareware ($15.00). Requires VBRUN300.DLL.
NOTE: Version 1.4 fixes a "Type Mismatch" error that only
seemed to affect players living in Europe and other non-U.S.
countries.
===== Installation ===============================================
If you wish to install this game manually, simply create a
directory for it (C:\POKERCHL is suggested) and copy the files
into that directory. Add POKERCHL.EXE into the Program Manager
or the Win95 Start menu, or run the game directly from the File
Manager or the Win95 Explorer.
If you wish to use the automated installation utility (this is
recommended), copy the files into a temporary directory and run
SETUP.EXE, either from the Program Manager "File/Run" menu (in
Windows 3.x), the Start button's "Run" command (in Windows 95),
or from the Win95 command line. The setup program will prompt
you to select a destination directory, then copy the files and
add a Poker Challenge group to the Program Manager or the Start
menu. You may then delete all the files in the temporary
directory.
The help file (PC.HLP) contains the primary documentation for
this program, as well as licensing and registration
information.
Poker Challenge requires VBRUN300.DLL, which has not been
distributed with this program. You most likely already have it
on your computer, but if you do not, it is available from most
BBS's, CD-ROMs, and FTP and shareware sites, as well as from
Microsoft.
You can also find a copy on the Poker Challenge Homepage at:

===== Removing the Game ==========================================
If you decide to delete Poker Challenge, you may remove it from
your computer by simply erasing the files from the game
directory, and removing its group from the Program Manager or
Windows 95 Start menu.
===== Registering the Game =======================================
The registration fee for Poker Challenge is only $15.00! After
you register we will send out a code (usually within 24 hours)
that you can type into the game to "unlock" it. This will
IMMEDIATELY allow you to turn off the title screen, and play
15 new contests!
You can register with a check, money order, through CompuServe
or even using your Visa, MasterCard or Discover card. For
complete instructions, refer to the product help file.
Please share this game (the UNREGISTERED version, of course)
with your friends and relatives. You may even post it on your
network or a BBS, as long as the files are not changed. The
free trial period for this game is 21 days. After that period
of time you should either pay the nominal $15.00 registration
fee or remove the game from your computer. Thanks for
supporting the shareware concept!
